WWII US Navy Bureau of Aeronautics Japanese Aircraft and Ship recognition cards in original box.
2.5″ x 3.5″  cards used to identify Japanese aircraft and ships during combat.  Includes 54 cards (15 ships and 13×3 aircraft).  Dated August 1944.
There are 3 different views (front, side, and bottom) of each of the 13 airplanes.  Aircraft are identified by code names:
Betty, Dinah, Frances, Helen, Judy, Kate, Liz, Nell, Oscar, Sally, Topsy, Val, Zeke.
The reverse of the cards is labeled “Restricted” and shows photographs of the aircraft and ships.
